successional bloom subsumes the fence in an arc around a micro mow-free native lawn. planting freshens up the painterly palette of the next door horticultural collection with a blend of billowy clouds and reaching spires, bringing year-round movement and pollinator feasts. leveraging some stalwart evergreen favorites for structure and trialing out some new (to me) ca natives to achieve drought-tolerant cottage-garden drama fit for artistic sensibilities and (literal) pedestrian smiles.
